TickWhen I see a tick, I don’t know if I should scream, cry or faint. These parasites look like something out of a horror flick. Not only creepy, ticks can cause disease.  Tick control products such as Frontline for dogs or cats, the new K9 Advantix, Preventic Collars, and Kiltix are effective measures to kill ticks. It may take as long as 1 to 2 days for a tick to drop off your pet, even though it is killed fairly quickly once exposed to the active ingredients in a product. The fastest and probably the most efficient way to kill ticks is to expose them directly to a wet product like the EctoSoote Flea/Tick Shampoo or the Mycodex Shampoo.

Contrary to common belief, fleas do survive during the winters, especially indoors. To ensure proper flea and tick control and minimize risk of infestation, continuous year-round treatment is recommended even in winter months.
A single bite can cause diseases like Lyme Disease, Babesiosis and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, flea allergy dermatitis developed from flea bites, tapeworms in pets can also be cause by Fleas, life-threatening Anemia can be caused Flea Infestations.
The possibility for dogs and cats to be infected with various diseases transmitted by these parasites could increase with a heavier flea, tick and mosquito. Through the use of products that are designed to keep fleas, ticks and mosquitoes at bay, you can help prevent them from infesting your home; where you and your pets live. Improved flea protection can minimize health risks and reduce flea infestation, providing relief to both pets and yourself.

When you first notice your pet has fleas, bathing him with a flea and tick shampoo is the first step towards treating infestation. This will remove the pests immediately and give your pet fast relief. It kills adult fleas fast, and removing flea feces. After the bath you’ll need to apply a flea and tick control medication to keep the pests from coming back. I use K9 Advantix and Advantage for cats. I used to use BioSpot On Spot but I don’t think it’s as good as Advantix and Advantage.  You can also use house foggers to kill the pests already in your home. Make sure to keep your pet on a flea and tick medication year round; the best offense is a good defense.

I think my dog smells better than I do. My wife just bought my dog Sexy Beast dog cologne…..I think it’s more than she ever spent on any gift for me. You’d think she likes him more than me! All I got was this Armani stuff. I wish they made Sexy Beast for humans. It smells so good it makes me wish I was a dog. It smells so good, I can’t even tell that my dog hasn’t been bathed in over a month! It’s all natural so you don’t have to worry about harsh chemicals on your dog. I also don’t have to take him to the groomer as much so I end up saving a lot of money this way. They apparently made it on TV. You can check out the video by clicking here . It’s got the perfect blend of bergamot and vanilla-infused musk combined with natural patchouli, mandarin and nutmeg oil. It lasts a long time too. One spray lasts for hours. The bottle lasts you a long time because of this. You won’t have to buy more any time soon. They also make the best Christmas presents. I already bought one for each of my kids and one for each of my nieces and nephews. They all have dogs too and I know they’ll just love it. I’ve actually been thinking about using for myself to be honest. I really think it’s even better than Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Stetson or Acqua Di Gio. My friends come over all the time, but the way my dog smelled sometimes drove em away. Now I don’t have to worry about that at all. You can even use it for cats. Because it’s non-toxic you don’t have to worry about them grooming it off either. Have you ever tried to bathe a cat? You end up with scratches and bites. It’s really not fun. But this will just make it easy. Just a quick spray behind the shoulder blades and your cat will smell nice for hours. I’m sure it can even be used on rabbits and ferrets as well. I really recommend this to everyone with pets. It will make life easier for your nose and that of your friends too.

Ghira the Dog
My friend has this dog named Ghira that recently had a problem with his joints. We think the problem was created when his owner Manny took him for a run too much along the hills. On the hill your on a slope so one foot is higher than the other and we think he may have sprained one of his joints in his legs because we seen him limping. Anyways we started giving him Joint Max Triple Strength and he seems to be doing better already. If you check out the photo I posted to the left, thats him after the JointMax Triple strength.

If you don’t keep on top of it, you won’t know your pet has fleas until you get bit. I can’t stress the importance of using a flea control medication year round on your dog or cat. Having fleas in your house is not only embarrassing  but dangerous. Fleas can carry disease that can infect pets as well as humans. Well, don’t worry, it can be fixed. There are a variety of household foggers/sprays to help kill the fleas in your house. Once they are gone, don’t let this happen again! Trust me, I speak from experience. Just keep your dog or cat on flea control. It’s worth it!
